Agar Environmental’s Leakwise oil leak and spill detection systems help you detect, monitor, measure, alert and control hydrocarbon spills.
Leakwise sheen sensors can detect the presence of as little as 0.3 mm (0.012 inch) of oil on water. They will continue to monitor the oil layer growth up to 25 mm (1 inch). Oil thickness sensors can measure up to 200 mm (8 inches) of oil. They are designed to be installed in a variety of locations, such as sumps, dikes around oil storage tanks, oil/water separators, open channels, groundwater wells, loading terminals, and remediation sites. Many of our customers rely on Leakwise as an early warning system so they can take immediate action in the event of a leak or spill.
Leakwise sensors use a high-frequency Electromagnetic Absorption Technique to detect oil on water. Each floating sensor houses a high-frequency electromagnetic energy transmitter and a receiving antenna which continuously monitor the liquid surface.
